BRENDA J WATSON, A MIXED-MEDIA ARTIST

The media that I use include pencil, oil, acrylic, and photography. My work is inspired by human experiences and nature. The art that I create mostly happens in my New York City and Martha's Vineyard studios, but it is primarily shown on the Vineyard.

Omo Valley Lady of Straw #1 (SOLD)

Acrylic painting on clay.

This was my first Omo Valley image on clay.
Truly experimental.

It sold within an hour of being displayed and is one of my most sought after images. On the day it was sold and while still being displayed with a 'SOLD' sticker, another buyer tried to negotiate buying it over the owner.

In 2019 it won third place for art in the Northeastern US & Canada. The awards were given by a panel of judges on behalf of DESTIG Magazine of London.
